ittedly my experience with Turkish comedy is limited, but it seems that a lot of it revolves around men... breaking social norms, to put it nicely. Or, somewhat less nicely, being absolute raging assholes. Such is the case here, which makes the whole thing a bit of a slog to sit through, but unfortunately I am a sucker for sappy romance shit, so I didn't entirely hate it.

Something kind of funny about the whole "the protagonist claims her identity by proudly stating her name" thing, given that that name has been changed in some territories due to trademark shenanigans involving a porn actor's biopic. "I know who I am, I am Vaiana*!"

Anyway, this is kind of an old school Disney Sequel, with all that implies - mostly a fairly weak and generic plot and a whole lot of half-baked writing, especially in the songs.
