Okay, this one was very bad. Terrible villain, and a weak, rushed plot about nuclear weapons that doesn’t go anywhere. The new secondary characters were boring, and where’s Lana?! Damn it. At least Lex and Lois were back in this one..

It was okay—too much Richard Pryor, and the other villains were too generic and boring. I enjoyed the first half with Clark and Lana; in that sense, it felt very similar to Superman II. I’m also not a fan of the “evil” Superman subplot. I’m realizing I enjoy the Clark Kent parts of these movies a lot more than the Superman action itself.

I appreciated that the plot didn’t follow the same structure as the previous films—it felt refreshing, especially in the first half. The second half falls a bit into familiar territory, but overall it was okay. Strong CGI and solid performances helped elevate it.

What an amazing movie! I loved all the performances and the dark tone. Sentry and the Void were awesome, and the comedy really worked. I also loved all the practical effects and the pacing.
My only complaint is that I could have easily watched 20 more minutes of it.
