The most visceral experience into the human body presented with complete mundanity.
One of the most fascinating documentaries I’ve ever seen. Which may not mean much since I haven’t seen that many, but either way this one is really special.
Disgusting. Horrifying. Hilarious. Beautiful. I have the utmost respect and gratitude for all medical workers.
So mystifying that it borders on mystical. One of the most gorgeous looking films I have seen in recent memory.
This is more disturbing than perhaps any horror film I've seen, it reminds us of the fact that this is all temporary, and at the end of the day we are all just stuff - but it also inspires me to appreciate life a little more. It's a singular, stomach-churning yet cathartic viewing experience.

wonderful deconstruction. ill always be in awe of a documentary that gets its point across without the need for voiceover or text on the screen or even interviews. interview in this case, being a sort of torture.
little french twinks buzzing in my ear sounds like a wonderful dream to me, in this case, little french twinks become a troublesome barrier to watching one of the greats perform.

It's incredible to see this raw footage of Monk being interviewed for French television. It becomes a fascinating study of how such TV shows (and documentaries in general) are made. And so this becomes a meta documentary. But at the heart of it, there's also some amazing film of Monk playing the piano.

A gently majestic film that feels omniscient in its dreamlike sweep and scope, with vast capacity for patient observation, quietude, and allowing images to slowly evolve.

Stunning!
