Who knew this trilogy would become the French Infernal Affairs?
What a great and satisfying conclusion to an excellent series. We’ve got police corruption that goes all the way to the top mixed with enjoyable action.
There is a three person fight in a metro train that is very well done. And that’s in the middle of an already excellent car chase sequence, which is one of three very well staged action scenes.
This series just got better and better as it went along. So glad to see a director come into their own and bring the goods with each installment.

★★★★ Rewatched

In of the all around action, this is a significant improvement over the first film. The car chases are more thrilling and over the top and the fight scenes feel even more brutal. The corruption plot only deepens and it involves the non-corrupt cops trying to protect their own which only further complicates character motivations. I love how messy it all gets.
Electrified spikes on the front of a speeding car? Hell yeah.
The main character is a legend for fighting off 10 cops? This time he fights off 20!
Highway chases and shotguns to heads is all I need. I’m a simple man.
