There's an inauthenticity here that kinda dampens the whole thing. Feels like a lifetime movie where everyone is playing dress-up.
Still have a soft spot for melodrama though and the finale was strong. Also the lack of any kind of breathing room between the climax and credits was a cute little throwback to an older time in film.
