the most bafflingly directed movie of the year … important character beats and entire verses of songs happening while their backs are to the camera or while we’re looking at the scenery, simultaneously distractingly overstaged and kinda boring, dark or backlit or desaturated or some combination of those the entire time ….. it felt like the movie constantly wanted my attention directed to the setting and the setting didnt even look good !!!
