]]>PHILIP QUAST I LOVE YOU
]]>incredibly beautiful and wonderful, i was not expecting the changes but i loved them. i've wondered a few times what it would be like if javert was given a chance to redeem himself in the original story and this adaptation gave me exactly that. the reverence and comradeship les mis de l'abc felt for each other and how they died together and fought together til their end and enjolras!!!! my beloved enjolras. this is one of the best les mis adaptations i watched, i enjoyed every second of it
"people are able to change"
"it is a blessing to be by your side"
"i believe in you"
these are just some of the dialogue what really stuck me with me and the soundtrack is also incredible.

]]>SOBBING MY EYES OUT
]]>one of the best pieces of animation ever created
]]>Watched on Monday August 15, 2022.
]]>it warms my heart every time obi refers to ani as "my young padawan" 🥺🫶🏻
]]>qui-gon jinn my beloved ☹️☹️☹️
]]>the animators and pretty much every single person who worked on this film deserve so much credit, the amount of detail and creative ideas and the effort they put into this is actually insane. to most people it may look like a bad "too much cgi" film but to me it's one of the greatest fantasy films ever made
]]>quite a challenge to fit this story in a two hour film but it was executed well! i loved anthony perkins as javert and richard jordan as jean valjean
]]>i love the way your mind works mr lucas
]]>despite the changes in the story i really enjoyed it! the little guy who played mary was superb
edit: ALSO DICKON GOES TO WAR AT 12 AND DIES WHAT THE HELL
]]>i enjoyed this 100%

]]>very insightful and to put it simply: brilliant. listening to david talk about this film for one hour and a half with a background noise that sounds like wind to me was a comforting experience. and the stories he told as well, i enjoyed every single one (the cat one is perhaps my favourite)

]]>can't believe that's JACK NANCE. i really enjoyed watching this although i really thought it had no spoken dialogue at first
]]>i love kovu but with vitani this could've easily been yuri the potential was there
]]>gorgeous piece of storytelling i wish i could give it ten stars
]]>david lookin so femme here oh ...
]]>truly a masterpiece and more than what i hoped for and well, heart crushing.
one thing i would like to point out even though it is said in the ending credits that this was based on merrick's life story and nothing else i find the scene where john tramples over a child at the train station very interesting and perhaps it might have been inspired by a scene in the strange case of dr jekyll and mr hyde book where mr hyde steps on a child and a mob comes after him, who knows maybe robert stevenson himself included that in the book because he heard some story about it or maybe had john as an inspiration as well? this is an interesting thing for me to ponder about.

this list is certainly biased because i do have my favourites but i take book accuracy, plot execution, acting, dialogue and additional storylines all into before raking each movie.
