I get it, another review about how boring this movie is is just as repetitive and uneventful as the movie itself. But this is easily the most tedious and unexciting thing I've ever seen. I simply do not care how "immersive" it is.
You get 100 minutes of painstakingly repetitious blurred shots of nondescript areas of a house, a big bad distorted-voiced demon(?) playing an expertly executed game of hide and seek, and the least children-like children in the world.…

Nearly 15 years later and I’ve learned there are only two constants in life: the Raiders being shit and Nnamdi Asomugha is an absolute fookin legend.
Extremely underwhelmed and conflicted by this. I enjoy the idea of using religion in horror as a justification for committing manipulative, deceitful, and heinous acts while people turn the blind eye because “he’s a preacher, how could he?”. Character chemistry is by far the most important element when it comes to the romance genre and there’s absolutely none here from any of the lead roles. Pair that with an uncompelling story, characters that are extremely difficult to invest in, god awful writing that translates to questionable acting, and you get a movie I took hardly any positives from. The last 10 minutes saves this from being a complete stinker, but nowhere near good enough to save the hour and a half before it.
