Prioritize your hobbies enough and you too can get your smoking hot girlfriend interested in whatever stupid shit you’re into at the moment.

The first Soviet horror movie! So fun and charming. I don’t get people saying the first half was dull. I loved all the little quips between Khoma and his seminary buddies and later the men taking him to the estate. None of it overstays its welcome and I thought it was appropriately paced. Hits all the beats for exactly what it is, a folktale. The camera work and effects in the church look better than some movies made a decade later. Highly recommended adding this to your October watchlist.
