I’m conflicted. There’s some unsurprising racist instances from a group of white kids in the 60’s. But at the same time, none of it feels hateful - just socialized ignorance from people who seem to mean better than the average white American at the time.
This is undeniably one of the whitest movies I’ve ever seen. Not just in of point of view but the extremely specific experiences that could have only been had by well-off white kids.
