Watching this again, it made me just dislike the newer Star Trek movies even more. There was established history and some good setup for the climax throughout the movie. Is it perfect? No. Is it fun? Definitely. Some memorable moments, some good characters, some technobabble and some heart make a great Star Trek story.
Full disclosure, this is my first entire Transformers movie. I grew up watching Beast Wars, so I'm all ready to watch Rise of the Beasts.

This is one of my comfort movies. I love the cinematography and, sure, the message has been shared a lot and in some more profound ways, but this one for me hits all the right notes with some very good humor amidst some real life lessons and moments.
I'm also very impressed that Ben Stiller directed this. Overall, it's a really relaxing movie for me.
