I don’t care, this is so good. They don’t make fun lighthearted comedies like this anymore! At least not ones that are actually directed well with good pacing and actors who have real chemistry. A lot of the references and music date this movie, it truly is SO millennial it’s hilarious. Could watch this over and over, anytime and sometimes that’s all you need
Well shot and well acted. Explores morality in a unique way that is constantly twisting the plot in unexpected ways. The only problem is the ending is a bit too fanciful for me. The first 2/3 is pretty grounded and focused on story and character but then it rushes into an action packed third act that throws realism out the window. It’s jarring and ends up sloppily tying up lose ends in a way that isn’t rewarding
Categorically bad in so many ways yet bafflingly has so much going for it. It’s kind of infuriating because this was almost a Van Helsing level epic action horror flick but the writing is so subpar it renders the visuals (some of which are genuinely great) useless. The cast is talented, it looks pretty good most of the time yet the acting is terrible and it’s shot like ADHD on coke.
