“Long live the fighters!”

Absolutely blown away. I love the first Dune and have been eagerly anticipating this second half. The hype that has built around this movie has been unreal, and I get it now. Everything about this film is filmmaking excellence. Denis Villeneuve is operating on another wavelength here, as is the entire cast. Structured very differently from how I expected, but the writing and pacing made this lengthy runtime fly by. Still somewhat processing all of this, but I’m jumping the gun and giving it the big five stars. I loved this, and I only see my love for it increasing as time goes on. That last act especially was science-fiction masterclass. If Villeneuve does ever make a third movie based on Dune: Messiah, I’ll be seated opening night. Will be rewatching this in the coming days to give a more fleshed-out review.
