Żuławski is a director I ire greatly, I find his chaotic cinema to be utterly absorbing and the first twenty minutes of L’amour Braque are as bonkers as one would expect. However, this feeling of excitement didn’t last long; the convoluted plot and self-indulgent approach eventually transform L’amour Braque into an unwieldy film that is difficult to engage with.
