“The world is Hell. We have a chance to start over in the rubble. But first, there has to be rubble.”

This Duncan Jones sci-fi thriller, from a Ben Ripley screenplay, finds US Army Captain Colter Stevens part of a top-secret program that lets him live the last eight minutes of another person’s life. Tasked with preventing a bomber aboard a train, Stevens must re-live the incident to find the real culprit.

Murder on the Orient Express meets Groundhog Day in this exciting time loop movie that features committed performances, despite the characters being underwritten, and an intriguing story that keeps viewers on their toes as we experience the train’s explosion repeatedly to catch more details.

Jake Gyllenhaal headlines the cast alongside Vera Farmiga, Michelle Monaghan, Jeffrey Wright, Cas Anvar, Michael Arden, and Russell Peters playing an asshole comic a little too convincingly. Can’t believe Bing was his chosen search engine with his life on the line, you deserve to die every time.
