the dad from roseanne is great in this. this movie made me wanna drink and do blow and operate heavy machinery.

cheesy 80s monster movie. loved the effects. cool monster design. 

this is bottom tier trash and im here for it.

i was hoping for an 80s or 90s style erotic thriller but this is just arthouse 50 shades of grey. nicole kidmans performance is outstanding and keeps the movie from careening into batshit bonkers territory.

i liking this one but i have no idea why. had a blast watching it regardless of how much it truly sucks as a film. i did find out that if you sync up derudes sandstorm right before the sandstorm scene it syncs perfectly. MI ranking so far… 1,3,2,4

hadnt seen this in a long time. there are some dated cgi effects but overall…holy shit what a movie! the scene where the dickhead bad guy sews up his face after getting sliced open is gnarly.

ill watch phillip seymore hoffman in anything. this is better than m:i 2, but it loses points for not having ANY doves for tom to slow mo flip kick people around.

theres some truly fantastic b&w photography in this. the monster looks pretty rad for the late 50s. i have a hard time getting into older films (pre 1970) if they arent hitchcock but im trying to change that.

saw this when i was 14 in the year 2000. i ed this movie kicking all the ass.

theres no way hes gonna get doves into a mission impossible movie right? wrong. theres tons of doves in the vague underground virus storage facility. subterranean doves abound. i think i saw tom cruise do a flip into a kick into a leg choke through a group of these doves. whole movie is worth watching for this part. 

the cycle chase battle is gnarly af but overall this movie is at the bottom of my m:I ranking. im starting to wonder if rewatching all 7 of these before 8 comes out was a good idea.

2007 bonnaroo… so i took a bunch of lsd and was having a solid time but started to get overwhelmed. we were camped in the way way back so i got lost and was starting to have a BAD TIME. i took a few deep breaths and ed bonnaroo had a 24 hour cinema tent. i could go there and hide out until the universe was ready to let me back into camp. 

id seen the cover of blue velvet at blockbuster but had no idea what it was about. looking back i think i had also confused the film with the rick moranis and steve martin buddy comedy, my blue heaven.

i only made it 30 minutes but those images were etched into my subconcious.  this is not a good lsd movie

i guess i never went back and finished the film bc i liked having that one weird night be my entire experience with it but in light of his ing it felt like the right time to revisit.

this movie is a gorgeously rendered waking nightmare. only in dreams, in beautiful dreams

this was much more charming and funny than i thought it would be. its pretty silly but overall a fun ride.

i love this movie. gorgeously shot. completely bonkers third act. everyone ive seen it with hates that it devolves into a slasher movie but i love that. wild how every single person in the cast went on to do MAJOR things in hollywood except the guy who ends up floating into space and turning into a popsicle.

This one never really goes anywhere interesting. they drag out the whole girl who cried wolf too long and the final confrontation ends up being too little too late

the 4k looks amazing. superb stuff here. its got that actor who directed all those shakespear adaptations in the 90s who now does all those agatha christie adaptations. this was my third viewing and it still had me on the edge of my seat all the way through. barry keoghan bonking his head off screen makes me chuckle. not sure why, i like his work.

found a 4$ 4K copy at a used book store. on the right dose of edibles this movie becomes a masterpiece. watch this with friends and laugh and scream together while disgraced former astronaut patrick wilson (insideous, insideous: chapter two, insideous: the red door) drive a broken space shuttle to the “moon”!

depalma was cooking. id forgotten how this one plays like ronin or the italian job.

very suprised to learn that this wasnt based on a real dude. loved this one.

2.5 stars for the vfx. the acting was fine as was the story until all of a sudden out of nowhere its the dumbest piece of shit to come out this year.

not much here to keep me invested in the characters. gore looked pretty rad though

as a gerard butler completist i had to see this one at the cinema. completely generic dude bro heist movie. i did like how the crew is either overweight or weighed down by 50 years of smoking and drinking so they all struggle doing the cat burglary stuff.

near perfect thriller. sir patrick stewart (xmen origins:woverine) plays a great neo nazi.

maybe the only franchise in history where the 5th installment is easily the best one. as a film its total nonsense trash but i love this movie

younger michael cain was a SNACK. really liked this movie. doesnt top blow out for me but definitely top tier depalma. nancy allen is great

schumacher is firing on all cylinders here. google bill hader flatlining clip. kiefer isnt a real name but hes magnetic in this. its got the guy whose brother was the lead ghost in beetlejuice and the guy from footloose and also julia roberts. saw this in theaters with my mom and it fondly. i looked at the release date and just realized i wouldve been 4 at the time

diamond in the rough. great sequel. up there with T2, gremlins 2: the new batch, and fast five

movie dragged a bit but very good despite that. i really liked using the trial as a method of examining two sides of a relationship through the court apperatus.

first exposure to the wallace and gromit universe. very fun movie and the animation is nuts. so much creativity on display here.

well made but ultimately pretty boring. i liked the ghost thing slowly apparating but it doesnt hold a candle to the same effect in Pulse (Kurosawa 2001). saw it in a theater w a broken hvac so they cancelled the showing but let my group of four watch it. slightly chilly is the best temp for theaters imo. hated the ending.

this movie still rules. I'd forgotten how great and unhinged D'onofrio's performance is. special effects mostly hold up almost 30 years later. loved the david cross cameo.
