It absolutely infuriates me what Hollywood has done to my boy Damien Chazelle since the release of this movie. If it wasn’t for Nolan, he would definitely be my favorite director working today and Babylon is yet another impressive film in his other wise small discography.

My 1000 movie and I am so glad this is the one to be it. Wow. What a fucking heart pounding experience that was. Every complaint I had about the first one got completely wiped out in this movie. I just fell more in love with this universe. When Denis and the cast/crew were able to do here we’re simply marvelous.

The Gorge had a pretty cool concept in place but just ended up being a very mediocre, high budget, direct to streaming flick. The writing is not great and the directing isn’t too engaging or unique even though Scott Derrickson is a solid director. Anya Taylor Joy and Miles Teller are definitely the best part about the movie. They have pretty good chemistry and they make best of a poor script but just felt like a waste of time for them when they are clearly better actors than what this movie has to offer.
