Some parameters: 

Happy endings are acceptable but ONLY if the two dudes have been having a truly shit time for the majority of the runtime.

I will accept one actor playing two guys at once (like Enemy or Moon or Venom), if the movie is mostly them with themselves.

Update: 🏆 Yeehaw we made it to Letterboxd wrapped 2023! 🏆 Keep the recs coming, this is a vast and wonderful (if not bleak) genre.
