Reason for rewatch: SHUDDER-ing My Way Through 2025
Pre-rewatch thoughts: I mainly the image from the poster, but am fuzzy on details.
Post-rewatch thoughts: Atmospheric and occasionally dreamlike, just like I like my Rollin films.

Previous rating: 3 stars
Reason for rewatch: SHUDDER-ing My Way Through 2025
Pre-rewatch thoughts: Found it slow at times, but still appreciated its moments of creepiness and some of the kills.
Post-rewatch thoughts: Still just a bit too slow for me to really enjoy fully.

2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch the movie at the halfway point of your watchlist
The scene of Will talking Sasha through her panic attack was a highlight for me, and I was glad that we didn't get the clichéd "Will, your mother died years ago!" reveal that I was expecting.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a movie from before you were born
That surgery scene was interminable and there was basically zero tension built at all, largely due to how freaking goofy Segal's wig looked.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a movie from the 2010s
The lead does a good job with portraying Sorgoi's unravelling, but ultimately I'm not sure it earns how dark it goes.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch the movie that is the longest
A solid zombie flick that gets bonus points for the high-jump zombie.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a documentary
A really interesting look at various haunted house attractions which if nothing else has made me want to watch other docs about McKamey Manor because that place feels messed up.

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie that stars one of your favorite actresses
My love of the cast is dong a lot of the heavy lifting in my 3 star rating of this one.

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch the movie that is the most popular
Dylan O'Brien is so good at playing Akroyd that I didn't even recognize him. Also, Tommy Dewey's Michael O'Donoghue almost feels like a Joel McHale impression, which is not a criticism.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie from the 1970s
Douglas as great as the crooked con man who most definitely does *not* have a heart of gold, and the ing cast is lots of fun as well.

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch the movie that was added last
Fully reveling in the weirdness of the labyrinths, which were always my favorite parts of the series, making this a an enjoyable return to a world hadn't realized I'd missed so much.
]]>Watched on Sunday June 8, 2025.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie from the 1980s
Had no clue this was a musical; sadly, it's not a very good one. I love Christopher Lee, but musical theater is *not* his forte. Add in the often slapsticky humor and this one didn't quite work for me.
]]>Watched on Sunday June 8, 2025.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie from the 2020s
Not quite as good as Raiff's follow-up, <>Cha-Cha Real Smooth</> , but there's still enough humor and hear here o make it worth a watch.

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie that stars one of your favorite actors
Having Ed Helms be the super confident, super cool guy and Patrick Wilson be the total screw-up was a definite choice . . . and I was here for it.
The couple of cameos-as-themselves were fun, and Pine plays unhinged incredibly well.

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch a movie from your favorite genre
A bit heavy handed at times and I wish Nicole Kidman had gotten more to do, but I enjoyed most of the music and *loved* the "It's Not Abou Me" number.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch the movie that is the longest
One of those films where I can totally appreciate the skill and craftsmanship inherent in it but still find myself not fully connecting to it. Gains a 1/2 star for the reveal of the inspiration for the building during the epilogue.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch the movie that was released the earliest
Charles Laughton is a delight in this charming comedy.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Shuffle your watchlist and watch the first movie that appears

]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Shuffle your watchlist and watch the first movie that appears
Sita taking the awful man's awful kids down a peg or two was a real highlight for me. The back half suffers a bit from a "what's real and what's not" perspective, but the grave torture sequence itself was cool.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a movie recommended to you by someone
Gains 1/2 star for that ending; never would have seen that coming.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a cult classic/movie that just seems bonkers
Worth watching for Kane's performance, but it does drag at the beginning.
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge (Horror edition): Watch a movie from the 2000s
I liked the general idea of the plot, but felt it was executed a little clunkily.

Is it bad that as soon as Ryan showed up n person my first thought was "oh, good, now the jackass can get what's coming to him"?
]]>2025 Honey I Shrunk the Watchlist Challenge: Watch the movie that is rated highest
I really loved this weird film and the fantastical world it creates. The first part was my favorite, but the kinda creepy weirdness of Elephant Island and the psychic chess prodigy in the third part were prey great as well.

]]>Sixth year to chronicle my rewatching activity.
Basically, this is an excuse for me to re-visit several films I’ve seen before. Most will be films that I enjoyed, but there will be a few that I felt the need to revisit now that I am older to see if my opinion will change.
For each film I'll do a review that includes my original rating in case the rewatch changes my opinion; the reason I wanted to rewatch; and how well it holds up in comparison with my original thoughts. The goal is to rewatch at least 52 over the course of the year, but I usually go way over that.

A lot of folks just add films as they watch, but when it comes to these challenges I'm a bit too anal for that. My goal this year is to use the list to reach 100% on the Roger Ebert's Great Movies list and make a significant dent in the Cannes Palme d'Or winners list.

]]>Fifth year to chronicle my rewatching activity.
Basically, this is an excuse for me to re-visit several films I’ve seen before. Most will be films that I enjoyed, but there will be a few that I felt the need to revisit now that I am older to see if my opinion will change. I've also started doing a "Video of the Day" post for my office where I post a picture of a film I own and a link to my review, which means I have a lot of films I'm rewatching for reviewing purposes
For each film I'll do a review that includes my original rating in case the rewatch changes my opinion; the reason I wanted to rewatch; and how well it holds up in comparison with my original thoughts. The goal is to rewatch at least 52 over the course of the year.

I'll also use this to track any other films watched on Shudder over the course of the year, regardless of when they were first added.
My one caveat will be that if I've already watched the film within a few months prior to it being added, I will not feel compelled to watch it again.
