It's perfect in that it doesn't take sides in the custody dispute after the couple splits up, even though the father has more screen time. It also shows maturity in how it deals with the issue, both in court and in the final scene. All of the actors and actresses give fantastic, natural performances. They sound spontaneous, including the boy who plays Billy. It's a movie to watch again and again—a classic!
