Jake Gyllenhaal has always been in my personal top 5 favorite actors and in this film he proves yet again why he is. This could have easily been another bland forgettable Netflix original but Gyllenhaal is just phenomenal like always. It’s a hard thing for an actor to carry an entire film being pretty much the only person on screen the entire time and not everyone can do it but Gyllenhaal proves he most definitely can. His screen presence is a force to be reckoned with and makes this film so captivating.
How does this man not have an Oscar yet?!?!

Temple of Doom took risks but this film goes back to it's roots and even brings back characters from Raiders like Sallah and Marcus without ever feeling like it's just a copy of Raiders. The first hour of this film just feels like classic Indy with great action and a great quest but where this films really kicks off is when Indy is reunited with his dad.
Sean Connery as Henry Jones is the best side character in this franchise…
