One of those films that is tricky to appraise. As an experience this this was remarkable, the shot of drifting outside your body and watching your death a transcendent moment, but as a film it would have benefitted tremendously from some editing.

Disclaimer: I don’t like Michael Winterbottom. I think tonally and stylistically his films occupy a middle ground where they are not psychologically insightful enough to be interesting acts of documentary realism, but nor are they subjective or fantastical enough to be interesting.
Unsurprisingly Greed was a perfect example of this. Lacking the fun idiot’s guide style of The Big Short or the outrageous decadence of The Wolf Of Wall Street, I really don’t understand what this film was setting out to accomplish.…
Handsome Devil is a nice enough film but unfortunately it's slightly lacking in almost every respect. The central relationship doesn't quite mesh, the two young leads don't quite convince, the ing characters don't add quite enough to the film, the music isn't quite up to the standard that you would be able to secure with a better budget, the heaster isn't quite Charles Dance.
Also, any coming of age story, set in a school in Ireland, with counter cultural youths…
