Not only is it horrible by every objective metric, the ending is cut short JUST before showing the game-winning putt in the final showdown. Then an on-screen message before the credits directs you to a website called "didhemaketheputt", where the so-called "director" just force-feeds you lots of ads for his other products. A fake movie, a disgrace, and a scam.

Despite its milquetoast protagonist, occasionally horrible fight choreography, and general childish naivety, its visual designs and tone are fun and undeniably unique. It's not smart at all, but avoids being unwatchably stupid. If you like it, it's because of Jeff Bridges being cool, Olivia Wilde being hot, and the constant Daft Punk music video aesthetic. A beautiful mess that's understandably divisive.
