a visual and aural spectacle relaying a story that does nothing for me. a calligraphed limerick. dune just isn’t my thing; might be its unfair status as a modern adaptation of a highly influential classic, but all i see on the screen is archetypes. no characters i care much about or really “buy”, least of all paul. stilgar rules though. don’t get me started on the disparity between its arabic influences and casting, i don’t wanna lock these comments. get said taghmaoui in part three dammit. by the way, we are not all talking enough about chalamet’s holly hunter voice
