Entertaining, yet felt a bit too shallow to maintain it's enjoyment. I would have really liked to see the toll the actions take on Diana, instead of just witnessing her move through her life. It is a film that feels distinctly modern for it's time, with subject and action, which did give it a lively twist, but it was also a bit too stuck in it's time with it's casual racism and such. Overall, glad I've watched it.

honestly I don't think you guys truly understand what this will mean to me. I read and reread this book religiously as a kid. I loved this book so much. I wrote a play adaptation of the swan for my a level drama piece. I love this book. and now I find out my favourite director is making a movie from it. the director who has not yet made anything that hasn't made me fall in love with his work more and more. this film will make my life complete.

This was incredible. I came for cool multiverse stuff but in the end, that wasn't what made me love it. I was so close to crying by the end. Amazing film.

(I'm ngl the very last thing that happened in the movie did kinda leave it on a sour note, but I was literally like 2 seconds and that really can't detract from the rest of this movie)
