That Q&A at the Egyptian was fucking brutal to sit through. I feel like Mike Leigh just started two super villain origin stories with how he refused to help out those people’s questions; vague and poorly thought out questions sure, but god damn didn’t have to do em like that m8.

2nd half just didn’t hit the same as first half for me. Absolutely loved the first half, incredible cinematography, vibe, and aesthetics. I enjoyed a good amount of the second half but the first half had a great amount of showing and not telling. Whereas the second half got too bogged down with not just showing and telling everything, but just felt like a total tonal shift that seemed disconnected from the first half. Was hyped to have the intermission but damn I feel like it actually hurt the movie for me.
