]]>Lucky enough to catch this (thanks for programming this, Sundance) - and what a special film. It's poignant and hilarious all in this style that I find hard to describe. It's all Riley. If you loved Art of Self Defence, step into this world. It's really something quite special. And the score! My heart. Oh, it looks great too. Just see it. Add it to your list for 2022. In this strange world, things like this are a wonderful gift.
]]>Impressive directorial debut, more from all these people please
]]>Hasn't left me since I saw it.
]]>What a perfect film. Had a little edible while watching which was both a good and bad idea. Bravo.
]]>Bravo. Lucky enough to see this on the big screen and very grateful. Funny, optimistic, deeply touching. My favourite watch of 2021 so far.
]]>Stunning treatment of a topic that elevates it to places I never thought I'd go. Bleak and dark but also everything that is not bleak and dark. Wonderful.
]]>What a film to get to see at the movies. But if theatres aren't available for you, just see it however you can. Important, thrilling, confronting. Amazing performances all around. Loved it.
]]>A perfect film.
]]>I fucking loved it. Don’t worry, I’m not going into spoilers, just feelings.
Tenet is big and loud and brash. The soundtrack, care of Ludwig Göransson (he scored Black Panther and The Mandalorian), is going to be on my headphones a lot this year.
I don’t want to tell you much about it, because I want you to experience it how I did. But one thing that’s worth pointing out is that Nolan has dropped a lot of his usual exposition. You know, those long scenes in Inception where characters clunkily explain “the rules” of the world to each other over a coffee, so us as the dumb audience can follow along.
There is very little of that in Tenet.
You’re thrown very little in the way of explaining the events that take place. At one point, a character actually says “don’t think about it too much”, or something to that effect. A lot of dialogue mumbled. It’s just not that important. I’m down with that.
David.

]]>Perhaps a little early to review this show as it unfolds, but along with Better Call Saul, one of the most exciting things to watch right now in 2020. The field of quantum computing is as terrifying to think about as AI - and this show takes it all in. Wonderfully acted with surprising performances. Alex Garland hits it out of the park with this one.
]]>A masterclass in music documentary, and so much more than a music documentary. Made me fall back in love with Nick Cave's music after some time away. The fact it was released in 3D at some point isn't a gimmick - don't worry about it. It's the story here, and boy does it hit hard.
]]>Rewatched this in light of the corona virus pandemic we're all a part of in one way or another. Truly great filmmaking - transcendent stuff, imo. Strong recommend.
]]>Looks beautiful & has something to say. The anxiety is high, the scares are great, and when violence breaks out it's a blast.
