Funny and charming, some of the practical effects aged really well. The designs are great too.

Well... this is certainly a movie.
I'd like to think I'm a fan of cinema, all kinds of cinema really. I like popcorn-movies that are well executed, and I like slow burning thrillers or mysteries that have me thinking about them hours, days or weeks after the runtime is long over. Black and white, any kind of language, even silent films I enjoy.
I'm saying this to set a tone here. I usually check how well a movie is recieved…
Perhaps my expectations were too low coming into this short, but damn if it isn't a neat little thing. It definitely feels unfair to compare it to full-fledged specials and movies, as it can only fall short in comparison. Even still, it manages to have surprisingly good animation. Not only that, the comedy aspect is solid and the jokes do a good job of working with the concept of the series itself.
Alas, no matter how much praise I give…
