You love to see it

There's no meaningful way of saying this, but it was decent until things started happening.

Rosamund Pike, as always, exceptional.

Followed the standard gay narrative which is a shame because it's so overused. It was done pretty well though, the characters were convincing (except for one that was such a caricaturish villain and was almost laughable during a big reveal), but it didn't get me like some others have and it had me thinking about better similar films. Still enjoyed it though, could be 15 minutes shorter but it's worth watching.

(P.s. watch Weekend, it's better and the best film of its kind by a mile)

Maybe not such a bad thing that it's Ken Loach's last film, this one was pretty boring and the acting all around was kinda terrible. I appreciate the message but it's just so clunky and almost cringey, the editing and score are so basic too it feels so disingenuous.
