Macbeth is probably my favourite Shakespeare story mainly because of it’s themes of greed and guilt, and this movie definitely does a good job of sticking to those themes while incorporating Kurosawa’s style. I also just learned that apparently Kubrick could’ve made an intensely detailed and researched film about Napoleon had there been more funding and all that tells me is that I was ROBBED 💰🏃🏻♂️💨 from seeing another one of Kubrick’s amazing period pieces! 😡
