VENUE: Home; Porto, Portugal
FORMAT: HBO Max

Like all things on HBO Max the dialogue is a whisper and the sound effects are loud. That’s all streaming anymore but HbO is the worst for this.

Watched because I supposed I’ll see the sequel eventually.

I do not enjoy Anna Kendrick.

I do like that this was a confidently just-ok movie, We need more movies that dare to just be watchable.

JK Simmons side plot felt like a tv show related…

This was the 2nd movie on disc one from my Mill Creek Entertainment DVD collection  YouTube version looked better though and was uncut. Still SD.

Yul Brenner’s last movie. First of his I’ve seen. What a cool looking guy.

The dubbing was annoying but especially here since some scenes are just randomly in German.

Great score that sometimes rips off Peter Gunn.

This movie moves incredibly slow and wallows around in the dull, grim,…

Fortunately, the crowd was solemn and respectful.

There was one dip shit in front of me who kept checking his Apple Watch. I wonder how people like that even get through the day.

I always forget that this film is black-and-white Cinemascope.

The ending felt especially poignant today.

I ran into a couple of friends at the screening which felt really nice.

I sat in my usual seat where no one else likes to sit anddrink a coffee while the opening credits rolled.

The perfect afternoon movie.

The D looks good but does not compare to the 35 mm.

You can really see the difference in the colors and in the transitions.

The score is so beautiful and has so many unique production values.

I always forget that Chris Farley‘s brothers are in this.

Everything is so subtle and patient. The pace of this film feels comionate.
