ok so i think this movie really needed some more exposition - i think it would have really helped the emotional weight of the movie to understand a little bit more about the world coop and his family are living in (& ultimately, the world NASA is trying to escape).

We see how people live in the present with the "blight," but it's origin isn't explained. I was a little confused as to what year it was & how this post-blight…
