the kind of film you watching for the first time forever (& perhaps the second time too)
it’s a masterpiece, no exaggeration
every consecutive scene tops the previous one
but the highest compliment for Dune: Part Two, amongst a plethora of praises, is how it is history unfolding before our very (blue within blue) eyes
it is pop culture history & filmmaking history with a story so engrossing, so staggering, & so tragic that it feels like genuine human history unfolding in front of the world right now, even though it’s an adaptation of a nearly sixty year old novel
