Ethan Hall's Pizza Party Massacre is exactly the kind of Shot-on-Video horror that's my jam. Tons creativity, tons of camp, tons of laughs. Also a good amount of gore! It knows exactly what it wants to be and it achieves that goal with grace. I had a blast watching this movie and the second it gets a physical media release I'll be there!
I used to go to sunday school and the weekend this came out they gave us notices to show our parents saying "Do not take your kids to see this movie. In The Golden Com book series they fight God." I gave the letter to my dad. He looked at it, looked at me, and then drove to the movie theater and we saw this.
The God-fighting is a later book and Dad was disappointed.
