]]>Holy fucking fuck lol.
It’s been almost an hour since I left my showing of BRING HER BACK and I am still ridiculed with a gut-wrenching discomfort throughout my entire body. Going into this film blind (no pun intended) really threw me off, but in the best way possible. I only watched the teaser trailer when it first released just to get the general essence of what was to come from the Philippou Brothers, and my god.. this was pure derangement. Being a big fan of their directorial debut, TALK TO ME, I knew I was ready to be blown away with what they had up their sleeves.. but wasn’t prepared for the level they took it to with this one. It was brutal, repulsive, and overly distressing to say the least. Hauntingly good performances, painfully grotesque practical effects, and a plot that keeps audiences on their toes the entire time. It was also beautiful in a weird, emotionally destructive way that stuck with me heavily. I went into this not expecting to cry but I did quite a bit. It really is the whole package when it comes to the modernized horror genre in this day and age. I seriously can’t wait to see what these twins have for us next.

]]>“This is my family. I found it all on my own. It’s little and broken, but still good.. yeah, still good.”
This Disney adaptation on my all time favourite childhood animated film is truly everything I could’ve asked for when it comes to the live action remake genre. The pure heart and emotion this remake possessed throughout was seriously so satisfying for myself and the younger version of me that absolutely adored anything Stitch related while growing up. The only minor flaw I had with it is the absence of Gantu, but other than that I seriously think that this film is perfect. I haven’t felt that much joy sitting in a packed theatre eating my favourite movie snacks, and being able to laugh and cry with others who also love this iconic story about family. And I am just so glad it was executed and retold in such a beautiful way nearly 23 years later.
“Ohana means family. And family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten.”

Today I finally got to watch one of my most anticipated films of 2025, FINAL DESTINATION: BLOODLINES. I had the pleasure of taking my 13 year old brother with me for his very first R-Rated movie and I am so glad it was this one. Growing up I absolutely adored this franchise so it was nice that seeing this movie created a new memory for him and I. And my god, this movie was so much fucking fun. It was comedic but it didn’t try too hard to be funny. The humour just felt so natural which I enjoyed. The kills were awesome, the plot was simple but entertaining, and the characters were all great additions to the overall finished product. It was just a pleasant couple of hours and I left the theatre feeling satisfied. I’m sure it’s not for everyone, but at the of the day, it’s a Final Destination movie, don’t go into it taking it too seriously. Just have fun!!!

Believe this is my 4th time experiencing EVIL DEAD RISE and my god I swear it gets better every single time. I had the pleasure of showing this to my best friend and he ultimately loved it just as much as me! This movie is such a fun, grotesque, wild fucking ride from start to finish. So many crucial elements in this to make it a banger horror film and that’s exactly what it is. Just a fucking banger. I watching this film in a packed movie theatre with all my friends and my ex girlfriend (unfortunately). Usually everything that I’ve done or seen with her ruins my perception of it, but EVIL DEAD RISE is too powerful for her to do that for me. So thank you EVIL DEAD RISE I love you.

Warfare is genuinely a haunting experience from start to finish. I seriously felt like I could hear my heart pound as well as my buddy’s nearly for the entire duration of the film. It’s an intense, brutal, and raw depiction of true terror onscreen. With amazing performances along with outstanding sound design, this became one of my favourites of 2025 so far. For me it was one of those films where I felt scared and anxious to move a muscle literally the entire time. Most war movies I find can do that for an individual, especially me, but the way this one was executed felt different and a little more “real” if that makes any sense. This is a horror movie without a doubt.

]]>I did it. I done found a movie goofier than An Extremely Goofy Movie (2000).
My buddy and I said fuck it and decided to endure the new release of Until Dawn at my local cinema. And it was painful. I knew ultimately that it was going to be bad, but not THAT bad. BUT, with that being said, it’s the kind of bad that can make it somewhat enjoyable to watch. Just because of how fucking silly it is. But in all honesty, I could definitely see how some individuals could enjoy this film. The elements this film possesses throughout definitely could have any horror lover hooked on the whole idea behind it, but as an avid enjoyer of its predecessor, I genuinely hate the route they took with it. I’ve replayed the game probably about 5 times since I was 12 years old and I seriously love every aspect of it. This film just doesn’t feel like the game whatsoever. Honestly if they called it something else and it was its own thing and not based off the game, I probably would’ve enjoyed it more. Or if I was someone who never played the game I probably would’ve enjoyed it more. Maybe I’m thinking about it too much! But at the end of the day, this movie was just goofy and not good. But it was fun I guess.

]]>“You keep dancing with the devil, one day he’s gonna follow you home.”
My expectations for this film were scarcely high after watching the first trailer back in September of last year and I can happily say that all of my expectations were exceeded in the best way possible. Being a fan of Coogler’s previous work that he has done with Micheal B. Jordan, I knew I was going to be a fan of the finished product regardless. But I had no idea that Coogler’s first entry into the horror world of cinema would end up being one of my new favourite films. From start to finish, I was mesmerized by what I was watching. Every single sequence that came before me was truly breathtaking. The music, performances, visuals, literally everything had me astonished and craving more. SINNERS had me ridiculed with anxiety practically the entire time by how frightening and beautiful it was, and I seriously can’t get over what I just watched. Movie of the fucking year.

]]>“But the truth I learned here is, you had to leave because you’re you. And the reason I liked you is because you’re you. And who you are, is someone who leaves.”
Tonight I had the pleasure of checking out Past Lives for the very first time and I can genuinely say that I am crushed but ultimately grateful for what I learned from this film. Every single aspect of this film is unique in its own way and I full heartedly believe that it is one of the most beautifully written films I have ever seen. As soon as the credits started to roll, I sat in silence, allowing myself to feel every emotion in that single moment. It truly opened my eyes to the significance behind the saying “everything happens for a reason” or “what is meant to be, will be” and other phrases beyond the lines of destiny, life, and the universe itself. And I absolutely love when cinema can do that for a viewer. The performances in this film pack a serious punch that hits you like a fucking train. The chemistry between Nora (Na Young) and Hae Sung leave you feeling empty, but equally full of hope for what’s to come in your life when it comes to meeting your person. I just genuinely adored this movie and the emotional hold it had over me from start to finish.

]]>“Nina, what did you do?”
“I felt it. Perfect. It was perfect.”
Black Swan is one of those films where you feel like you’re slowly going crazy throughout its entire duration. I went into this film completely blind without knowing any details of the plot or what I had coming before me. I only knew of its existence because I enjoy Darren Aronofsky as a filmmaker and I’ve only heard exceptional things about this one. With each and every one of his films, Aronofsky creates a fragile, sick, and ultimately haunting depiction of some sort of relation to trauma. And yet again to no one’s surprise, he executes it with little to no flaws. This film is genuinely fucking insane. Natalie Portman puts on a brilliant yet deranged performance unlike no other that is bold and seriously one to . Also appreciated appearances from Winona Ryder, Mila Kunis, and young(er) Sebastian Stan (even if it was only for a brief moment). Anyways, this film fucking rocked.

Haven’t watched this in what feels like forever and my god this film is always a fucking blast. Stacked cast, beautiful production, and so many iconic moments all behind the mind of Martin Scorsese. I sneaking behind my parents’ back after they rented this when I was like 10 years old, and I vividly it blowing my mind. Even though at the time couldn’t understand a fraction of what the film was about, it was definitely an experience I will always . Being exposed to the satisfactory of drug abuse, gang bangs, and the luxurious lifestyle of Jordan Belfort at 10 years old is something you just can’t move past. Also Margot Robbie. You simply cannot forget Margot Robbie. Scorsese’s filmography is truly something else. I might have to fuck around and rewatch all of his other motion pictures just to feel something, and maybe to potentially build a ranking (p.s - The Departed will always rank #1 for me). Anyways, fucking love this wild ass ride of a movie.

]]>My all time favourite Disney film
With all the hype surrounding the new live action adaptation, I knew I had to rewatch this. I genuinely have probably watched this over 1000 times since I was a child and I’m not even kidding. I always having it on repeat and watching it before my bedtime most nights of the week. It truly was the good old days. Anyway, this film is literally perfect. It’s cute, comedic, and beautifully animated (considering it’s from 2002). And also every character is GOATED like obviously Stitch is #1 but y’all be SLEEPING on Pleakley. He is such an iconic king. I’m always happy watching this movie and you will see me opening night when the live action hits the theatres, you best believe it.

]]>This movie is an experience, every single time.
Tonight I had the pleasure of rewatching this masterpiece with my best friend who has never seen it and honestly I think I was more stoked for him than anything. And it’s safe to say he loved it almost as much me. The amount of finesse and flair this film has is truly something else and it does it for me every single fucking time! I am a huge fan of Miles Teller and the fact that this was my first film that I had seen of his just makes it all that more special to me since it is definitely my favourite of his entire filmography. I always get some sort of adrenaline rush watching this, I don’t know what it is, but the movie just fucks that hard I guess. And my god that final sequence is literally fucking IMMACULATE.

]]>Unpleasantly Exceptional
This was a painfully discomforting watch but I knew exactly what I was getting myself into when I chose this for my evening movie. I’ve read a lot about this film. I’ve read multiple reviews and multiple discussions on social media about how this film can be defined as a “traumatic experience”, and it’s safe to say that is just the tip of the iceberg. Going into this I was anxious, and had that heavy feeling in my stomach. I finished the movie about 20 minutes ago and that feeling still hasn’t went away. This film is repulsive, yet brilliantly crafted. The performances were excellent, and some of the shots were very pleasing. But at the end of the day, this film is haunting. And I don’t think I could bare to watch it again.
Rest In Peace to the wonderful, Michelle Trachtenburg

]]>“You aren’t gonna get in a car with a guy who honks, are you?”
Lady Bird is a warm and delicately executed representation on the typical themes you’d see in most coming of age films. And it’s absolutely fantastic. As an individual who has struggled and still struggles heavily with identity, rejection, and figuring out who I want to be in general, I can relate immensely to this film. With a runtime of just 95 minutes, you get to experience a film full of heart with all the right pieces fitting just perfectly. All the characters are enjoyable, visually it’s pretty to look at, and the humour doesn’t feel forced. This film is actually quite funny in a peculiar, yet charming way. This has been on my watchlist for years, and for some reason I haven’t bothered to put it on until now. And I seriously adored every minute of it and I wish I watched it sooner.

“Like you wouldn’t believe.”
Such a beautiful, and emotionally moving picture in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The Guardians of the Galaxy trilogy is one of James Gunn’s finest work and every entry in my opinion gets even better. This film seriously has it all. It’s one of those rare Marvel films’ in recent years that will have you cry equally as much as it will have you laugh, and I seriously adore it. James Gunn created a treasure when it comes to adapting all the characters we know and love. Like seriously every character new or old is written to perfection, not only in this entry, but in the whole trilogy. And also this film breaks my fucking heart everytime I watch it. Regarding the overall plot based off of Rocket’s tragic upbringing, but also the love story that Peter lost with Gamora. I love love LOVE movies that kill me internally. Anyways I will never stop glazing this film, or James Gunn.

This is my second time watching this since this came out back in 2020, and the main reason I haven’t touched it again is because it is truly heartbreaking, but it’s a Disney Film, so that’s expected. But anyway, I love this movie. It is genuinely so much fun all the way from start to finish. The plot is creative, the characters are loveable, and overall it’s just a really cute movie. But my god, I bawled for a good 15 minutes. I really needed a good cry, and I think this was the perfect choice.
