The pace of this thing is fucking unbelievable. I felt dazed walking out of the theater. Seeing this in IMAX 70mm is the best movie going experience I’ve ever had. The best film of the year and Nolan’s greatest achievement as well as the best work of Hoyte Van Hoytema, Jennifer Lame, and Ludwig Goransson’s careers. The cast is uniformly incredible, but what Murphy, Blunt, and Downey do in that last hour is something I’ve never seen before. I’ve thought this each time since Dunkirk but I genuinely can’t fathom where Nolan goes next.

Cameron’s Nausicaa or Princess Mononoke. Really Tremendous stuff. It’s so big in scale and is Cameron putting every sci fi idea he has on the screen much like the first movie but it feels so much more infinite and emotional.
The 3D and HFR are really breathtaking, especially the underwater sequences which are maybe my favorite uses of 3D ever.
Performances across the board are really really good. The kids all feel very natural and it’s insane that Weaver gives…
