Another great comedy where the lack of real plot is masked by the charisma and chemistry of the lead actors.

It's a toss up between 3.5 or 4 stars.

Look, I was hyped for this film but believe me when I tell you that if you've seen the trailer you've already watched the whole thing.

I will pay it its dues, it is a visually stunning film. I mean really, really pretty. The acting is good too but something is missing and I can't put my finger on it. It's like a whole film about nothing really, perhaps it would have benefitted being a miniseries and having some of Fern's backstory explored more. I want to be emotionally connected to the characters but it's hard to other than seeing their liberation via their lifestyle.

Alongside For All Mankind, this is a documentary that I think everyone should see before they die.

The cinematography by Mitsuji Kanau is simply mind-blowing, there's no other words to describe it. You don't find shots this good in most productions today, let alone lugging camera equipment up the tallest mountain in the world.

It was a feat done out of arrogance, many Sherpas lost their lives in the 1970 Everest Disaster during filming and I can't help but feel it was a total waste of life. The film serves as a stoic reminder that we are ultimately at the mercy of nature, no matter how impressive the things we're doing are.

This review may contain spoilers.

A fitting end to the trilogy with a memorable villain: Boris The Animal. Or is it just Boris?

I know it might not be the popular view but MIB III benefits well from the leap forward in filming technology and effects. The third act was my favourite across all three films and brings things full circle.

Josh Brolin is exceptional as a young K while Tommy Lee Jones and Will Smith deliver as always.

Not as good as the first but still has some kick to it. Definitely the weakest out of the trilogy but still holds it own.

Plus, Johnny Knoxville.

Can of Worms makes about as much sense as a piece of Tracy Emin art yet is wholesome as fuck.

Physical effects and props are always a win but the acting pulls the film down a bit- except Malcolm McDowell who practically carries the film on his back.

Worth the watch if you want a nostalgia trip but otherwise not the best use of your time.

Most things shot on film normally have my attention but I'm really a sucker for sun-soaked 80s and 90s films.

Comedy films like Twins have a heart to them. It's something I haven't felt much in the past few years. It's easy watching; a real pick-me-up kind of movie.

Ivan Reitman was a master of feel-good comedies and having Arnie and Danny DeVito together is always something to look forward to.

I must it that when I first saw Falling Down it was because I couldn't find anything else to watch. After 10 minutes I was proven the fool by perhaps the best opening atmosphere in anything I've ever seen. I think I even found myself sweating and writhing in my seat.

Michael Douglas and Robert Duvall give stellar performances opposite each other in what unravels as a tense and complex stand-off. Mired in deep societal issues, the plot is a shining example of how people can become very dangerous at the drop of a hat.

It's fitting that my first review here is a documentary about humankind's first steps on the moon; charting new territory and all that jazz.

As someone who has always been fascinated with space and astronautics, For All Mankind was the perfect summation of footage, commentary and music to encapsulate all the things that have made me space-crazy. There are no Hollywood special effects here- contrary to what some would have you believe- and the thought that everything you're watching happened within the last 6 decades is a humbling one.

The soundtrack by Brian Eno and Co. is crafted perfectly and packed with nuance and emotion. The iconic "An Ending (Ascent)" is a deeply moving number while the often overlooked "Always Returning" is the perfect accompaniment for 3 men in the vastness of space.

Seeing through their eyes the place that we call home, that pale blue dot suspended in the infinity of the unknown, makes for magical viewing.
