The sequel to "Dune" that covers the next part of Frank Herbert's sci/fi classic novel delivers on the promise of the first film. It is that rare follow up that equals the first.
Paul Atreides unites with Chani and the Fremen while seeking revenge against the conspirators who destroyed his family.
Facing a choice between the love of his life and the fate of the universe, he must prevent a terrible future only he can foresee.
Paul grows as a character and becomes much more of a leader, maybe even the chosen one. Austin Butler makes a menacing Feyd Rautha. I never really warmed all that much to Zendaya as an actress, but she doesn't blow it.
The effects are first rate and the film is exciting. I feel like the film could have edited down a little in the first half. But when it gets going it soars.
