This is an absolute classic for me , a iconic role for Patrick Swayze, cheesy 80’s fun with great music and villains you love to hate.

A federal investigator takes on case of a women suspected in murdering her new husband’s for their wealth , the only was she can catch her is by competing with for her for her next victim.
This was a decent thriller , nice to have two female leads in the film , it was a little slow in places but the end sequence was worth the payoff.

This is such a batshit crazy story . Extremely fun but obviously sad due the treatment of the animals but I’m amazed this isn’t a movie yet.

A huge explosion awakes Gamera a giant flying fire breathing Turtle to wreak havoc on Japan.
Obviously very similar to Godzilla in style and storyline but maybe with out the prestige but it’s still good and loved the creature design.

A thief in his twilight years is persuaded to do one last big job in stealing a priceless antique from a museum.
This was a solid heist movie it’s got De Niro , Norton and Brando in one film which is amazing and the actual sequence of the theft was great with loads of tension.

A documentary on the serial killer who gruesomely killed woman in and around Times Square in New York.
Interesting documentary but was so drawn out this could have been done in 90 minutes.

This was definitely one of the more edgier Hammer films I’ve seen , starring Christopher Lee as the priest turned devil worshipper trying to have a nun give birth to satan.
Was pretty good but the ending seemed like they ran out of ideas and money.

An ex CIA agent turned bounty hunter is brought in to catch a terrorist.
This was an ok B-movie action film , Hauer is good but it’s lacking in the action front a little in my opinion.

This was a fun comedic horror film , with some colourful moments and set design.

A group of cave divers exploring a new cave system are trapped underground when a cyclone hits the area.
They have to try and work together and survive to find a new way out.
This was a decent disaster movie , I thought the acting was a little ropey but was a cool setting and the underwater shots were great.

A short documentary on the British serial killers Fred and Rose West who together killed numerous women and girls and buried them under their house and garden.
As with Netflix crime documentaries you have your tried and tested format with s from the police , survivors and in this case actual recordings of the killer’s interviews.
Morbid fact, in my debt collector days I had to visit a property just a few doors down from the West’s house although now it’s just a gap in a row terraced houses where it had been demolished.

A detailed look into the murders of the British serial killer Peter Sutcliffe AKA The Yorkshire Ripper.
It goes through the timeline of the murders and the victims as well as s from survivors, witnesses and the police.

A murdered man comes back to town to take revenge on a gang of hoodlums who race cars.
This was an ok sci-fi action film , story is a little bit over the shop but it’s fun and has a great soundtrack.

This was a little bit of a misleading title as the cat is seen about twice , but it is a good horror movie starring two icons of cinema .
Devil worship and Karloff being skinned alive is all you need.

This was creepy , unnerving, unsettling and has a really good story . Nicolas Cage as Longlegs is terrifying.

I can see why this isn’t an overly talked about 80’s action film it certainly does lack something, however it fun with good action and a who’s who of 80’s action stars.

A grizzled Texas Ranger takes on his childhood friend who has become a drug kingpin and has a little private army down in Mexico, bring in the fact a rogue army major is also in town to get in on the action it gives a pretty great action movie.

This was a pretty good horror , some good gore but a slightly convoluted film with what narrative it’s trying to push.

Tintin finally gets to the bottom of the smuggling ring leading him to China.
Another solid episode.

TIntin stumbles upon an opium smuggling ring and travels half the world tracking down the perpetrators.
Good fun and good locations.

A blunt look at the Flint Police Department in Michigan in the U.S in and around Donald Trumps first announcement of presidency.
This followed a select few officers and showed the toughness of their job , the politics involved and fragility of community policing.

A chef is unwittingly drawn into a drugs war .
This was a great martial arts film with some iconic fight choreography.
The ending sequence is nuts .

This was a good follow up to the first film , bigger in scope but still has some good gore and some twists and turns you don’t really see coming.

This fourth entry in the franchise in my opinion is a bit of a let down , the girl is creepy enough but the film at no point was scary and the kills were toned down to make for a pretty weak horror film.

I went into this full of expectation it was an old style British horror with Peter Cushing, this was so boring there were three tales with cats being at the heart of the horror storyline and they wasn't very interesting and Cushing must have had about 10 minutes of screen time.

This DC animated follows a sort of tried and tested Superman origins story , had good with the characters such as Martian Manhunter and Lobo but man we just needed more Lobo , such a cool character.

This was a good 80’s action film , I found it a bit weird that although the main character is a government agent there is lots of ninja aspects brought into the fighting and villains.
It’s not great but the action is over the top and fun.

This was a decent telling of the fabled Tarzan story , great voice cast and excellent soundtrack by Phil Collins.
