Went in blind and that ending was fantastic.
Great opening title sequence too.
Heavy, dense and explosive, just like the atom bomb.
It’s going to win a ridiculous amount of awards and deserves all the praise it’s getting. Easily the best biographic movie I’ve seen. It’s long but I love long movies that completely transport you out of real life. The sound design and score were completely out of control - Nolan always nails that. My attention didn’t dip even for a split second. Every frame has been considered. If you haven’t seen it yet, buckle up for a nonstop 3 hour ride.
Alien is probably my favorite film of all time so needless to say I was hyped for this. It’s after midnight and I’m wide awake still processing it all. The aesthetic was perfect. So much fan service throughout and I honestly loved it. No doubt this is going to have haters but I’m not one of them. I can safely say this is my second favorite Alien film, right after the original. Definitely beyond excited to go see it in theaters again soon.
I feel traumatized by the 3rd act and now I need to try figure out how to fall asleep.
