Apparently this movie is based on The Little White Horse, though I see little resemblance (or maybe I just don't the book too well).
The movie is still great for a couple reasons:
1. Maria (main char) has impeccable fashion.
2. Actually, every character has a distinct sense of fashion and the costume designs are great.
3. Hot, petty uncle who drinks wine out of crystal goblets and cries when Maria tries to question him.
4. Classically beautiful woman…
