Las tres muertes de Marisela Escobedo is a highly-calculated, highly-effective documentary that evokes every emotion it wants to, I felt offended, sad, angry, and a need to do something, that’s what makes this so effective; Director Carlos Perez Osorio carefully crafts every single moment of this documentary, letting us know exactly what he wants us to know at the exact time to get the reaction he wants, masterful, thoughtful filmmaking.
Marisela Escobedo will always be ed as one of the pioneers of the fight against femicides and the people who commit them in Latin America, I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this documentary for letting me know her story, that even now feels very urgent, do yourself a favor a watch this, it’s on Netflix.
