]]>"DMT only lasts for six minutes, but it really seems like an eternity. It releases the same chemical your brain receives when you die. It's a little like dying would be the ultimate trip."
Fourth time watching Enter The Void and it still hits as hard as the first time I watched it. This movie is so fucking incredible it doesn’t even feel like a movie at this point.
Enter The Void is a relaxing and spiritual journey through the afterlife following the Tibetan Book of the Dead, where according to this book, the soul travels and relives the defining moments and memories of our lives after our death in search of reincarnation.
Besides the dialogue at some points in the film, it is filled with soft ambient music or complete silence, making up for a relaxing experience throughout the film. As the transitions are also genuinely some of the best I have ever seen in a movie, with Gaspar Noe’s uses of invisible cut and other techniques to smoothly flow one scene into the next.
Enter The Void is one of the most beautiful movies I have ever seen and I feel it is always going to be my favorite film of all time. It is by Gaspar Noe however, so there may be some scenes that come off as uncomfortable or disturbing to some people but if you think you could go through with it, Enter The Void is a wonderful experience.

]]>I will NEVER get over the fact that this film came out in the late 60’s. By far one of the best films I have ever seen and also probably the most visually stunning film I have ever watched. Given the release date, I can’t even begin to think of how the hell Kubrick and his team did some of the scenes from this movie.
It’s insane how much Stanley Kubrick was ahead of his time, with his other projects too, but especially 2001. Such a great movie, the visuals and cinematography are absolutely incredible and it is even more amazing that Kubrick managed to make this beautiful of a film 57 years ago.

]]>"I wasn't supposed to live long. I wanted to live to reach 20, but since I'm older than that now, I feel a bit lost. I don't have a goal anymore, to find a reason to live, I let life carry me along. I don't have what you might call a dream. I don't even know where I'll be one year from now. I don't care what happens to me. I don't seem to be able to have dreams, plans, it's good enough just to be alive. My goal is to be positive and joyful."
Hitomi's words seem like dialogue from a movie, they are so heartbreaking, but the sad part is that this isn't a movie, it is real life. It is so sad that people really live or are forced to live like this due to financial problems or like Hitomi, being lost in life. In a tiny box, with a bed on the ground and a bright computer lighting up the room, completely confined from the world above them.
