An utterly fantastic documentary on one of the most prolific and inspirational filmmakers of our time. It ebbs and flows between the films of his career, both great and forgettable, and provides a context of how each one was inspired by the director's life events.

There's great behind-the-scenes material that gives us insight not only into Spielberg's insular, on-set problem solving but also solving larger ones (like how to shoot half a shark picture without a shark). What separates this…
