This movie is 14 hours long. Its gender and sex politics are beyond bad. There are a few so bad its good/beyond weird moments, but that alone can't make me want to revisit this again any time soon. It's reputation precedes it and is warranted.

Masterful action movie cinematography and filmmaking prowess cannot save a dog shit script. This is a movie that has its fun moments but ends up ultimately being a pointless exercise. Why watch this when John Woo movies exist? Jamie Lee was in an unfortunate number of tepid movies in this time period. Especially considering how electric she can be on screen.

Tremendously stupid and over the top. If you ever wondered to yourself what a movie featuring the worst aspects of Sucker Punch and Mortal Kombat Annihilation would be like, then I have the film for you. (Robin Shou is here in a small part) Needless to say that it’s a laugh out loud riot, but not one I plan on rewatching anytime soon.
