Dog Man

2025

★★★★ Watched

Why did a hyperactive supercop comedy have a touching story? I dunno, probably that DreamWorks magic.

Some of my favorite parts include the "Life's not fair." hotline, the arrest Petey montage, the scene where Dog Man howls to an old Hank Williams (of Cars fame.) record, and the entire climax (One of the great anime battles!).

It can be a little hyperactive at times, but overall, I think it's a creative and entertaining movie with a good storyline. The Wild Robot is still better, however. 8/10.

What is it with Netflix and these random fun movies?
A funny, pretty solid kid's football film, with vomiting, plays taught using mexican snacks, a Jacuzzi with water that looks like Dip, a weird stepdad that gives Neal Miller a run for his money, and Paul Blart: Mall Cop as a real-life NFL coach! This movie could've used a John Madden appearance, but whatever. There's another, pretty similar kid's football film for that. Overall, it's not as mind-blowing as some of the stuff I've seen this year, but I was having a good time with it. 7.5/10.

Yeah, hot take. I thought this movie was great! Not as good as the Peter Rabbit duology, but still a fun time.

The story was actually creative, I found the jokes funny, E.B. is very likable, the musical numbers are BANGERS ("Rock on, E.B.-STER!"), and you can tell that a few elements from this film went into the studio's magnum opus Sing.
I do it that it can be a little dry at times and a few moments were kinda…

That Christmas

Alright, how did I get around to watching this before Ron's Gone Wrong? Oh well.
This is a surprisingly funny, cute, and heartfelt Christmas film. Definitely not what I expected based on the poster.
It's got action, comedy, romance, satire, Christmas cheer, and that multi-story formula I'm a sucker for.
Definitely the best British Christmas film since Arthur Christmas. I REALLY hope this comes to 4K & Blu eventually. 9/10.
