Filmmaker in Atlanta, GA.

Nothing is more sublime for me than Paul Thomas Anderson on his A game, and he’s operating at peak level here.
Outside of the regular PTA joys on full display (best-in-the-business camera movement, lush attention to detail, unpredictable and stunning performances), “Phantom Thread” is Anderson’s most sharp and witty film yet, with dialogue as hilarious and devastating as something out of “All About Eve.”
This is also his best work to date with Johnny Greenwood, whose score sweeps and glides around the film like a perfect dance parter.
I loved every bit of this movie and can’t wait to return to it.
