Loved this one! Stylistic filmmaking from Brad Bird, entertaining from beginning to end, and exceptional performances from the cast. I love that Simon Pegg was given a more prominent role in the next installments because he undoubtedly adds a lot more charm to these movies. Also enjoyed the addition of Jeremy Renner, who also commands a physical presence on screen likewise to Paula Patton. 

Fun! But still very formulaic with a slight more emotional stake to it.

Dude…….lets give a round of applause to everyone in this movie because this was just spectacular. The performances from the ensemble cast are fantastic, particularly Tenoch Huerta who steals the show in every scene he is in. The character’s are all incredible and are handled very well given the conflict and tragedy that has fallen upon them. The direction from Ryan Coogler is beyond splendid, the cinematography is immaculate, the action sequences are intense, the score by Ludwig Göransson is a *chef’s kiss*, and it’s super emotional when it gets emotional.

We miss you Chadwick…

Wow! The Seth Rogen-influenced take on the TMNT is an absolute blast and breath of fresh air. This is terrifically animated film that elevates its theme of acceptance and purpose in a way that outshines all the other past theatrical TMNT films, and the selection of younger teens to voice the titular protagonists further reinforces it. Unfortunately, the weird pacing and weak antagonist does halt it a bit.
