“Don’t sweat the small stuff, you’ll drown.”
This was great. It love the mix of Groundhog Day and sci-fi type story.
It was a little rough at the start. It took me a little longer to get into it than I would’ve liked, but once I was into it, I loved it.
It’s surprising that there are still so many Jake Gyllenhaal movies I have yet to see, but this wasn’t even on my radar for that long. It was always staring at me yelling “watch me” but I just never did. I’m glad I did.
The biggest issue I have with this movie is the absolute dogshit CGI. It’s not the biggest problem because the story is great, but the explosions and stuff was just terribly done. The whole movie just feels somewhat cheap.
The story was awesome. The end was sick. Jake put on a fantastic performance but he doesn’t miss so.. yeah.
I really don’t know what to give it. On rewatch, I’ll know what I’m getting into so I’m sure the rating will be raised but for right now, as much as I like it, it just wasn’t the best experience.
7.5/10
