Only watched the Weerasethakul short, which runs just under 20 minutes. Really enjoyed its use of space (the way subjects relate to their environment has always been his strong suit) and the vaguely repeating structure. Good to see Sakda getting his braces, which is something he wanted to do for a long time, if I correctly. Curious what he's up to now. Hope he's well.

What a terrible film, I thought as a student back when it dropped. How could David Lynch overexpose that MiniDV sensor so badly? He should've known better! Now, about twenty years later, I find it hard to dismiss it for the same superficial reason. For starters, the overexposed frame is a nice touch to abstract what is essentially home video footage.
